Chamber Woman’s Networking Committee to Host a Series of Luncheon Programs for 2025
The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Committee is holding their first woman’s networking luncheon program for 2025 Tuesday, January 28TH from 12 noon to 1 pm at The Pines Restaurant in Downtown Hazleton. The event is being sponsored by Dream Big and it is open for any woman to attend.
“The woman’s networking committee is very excited to continue to offer our luncheon programs for 2025. We will continue to keep our topics up to date and related to women and business.” explains Leann Fallabel, Vice President of Marketing of the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce. The program will begin promptly at 12 noon and will include lunch. Our guest speaker will be Alicia Hayden Gomba, Owner and Health & Wellness Coach from Dream Big. She will be presenting on Kicking Off the New Year Right with information on setting goals, managing stress and learning the 6 habits of health including a healthy mindset, hydration, healthy surroundings, healthy motion, weight management and sleep & energy.

In its first round of awards, more than 650 small businesses based in Luzerne County received $3.3 Million through the Luzerne County Small Business Sustainability Grant program. This program is made possible through Luzerne County’s share of American Rescue Plan Act funding. Administered for Luzerne County by the Greater Pittston Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Greater Hazleton and Greater Wyoming Valley Chambers of Commerce, the program has received over 1300 applications to date.

Mr. Brian Swetz , the acting county manager for Luzerne County will update the business community on things happenings in our immediate area as well as impacting the County as a whole. Mr. Swetz has been with the County for ten years and was the Budget and Finance Division Head before assuming the role of acting county manager last November. Attendees will also have the opportunity for a question and answer session at the end of his presentation. 
In an effort to recognize the community service activities of volunteers in the upcoming Great Pennsylvania Cleanup, our local boroughts, municipalities, township and city will continue to support the cleanup efforts throughout Greater Hazleton which will take place on Saturday, April 22nd.

As most of you know, Attorney Pasco L. Schiavo was a well-known attorney, philanthropist, and entrepreneur based in Hazleton. Pasco was involved in many community initiatives, and his public service has impacted many areas of the NEPA region.
The World Memorial 9/11 Remembrance mobile exhibit will visit Downtown Hazleton on Saturday and Sunday, September 10 and 11.
