Ms. Lisa Marie E. Halecky, Communications & Community Engagement Manger of Lehigh Valley Hospital Hazleton, has been selected as the recipient of the 2024 Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Athena Award, sponsored by Lehigh Valley Hospital Hazleton.
Ms. Halecky started at Lehigh Valley Hospital in August of 2015. Her dynamic and warm leadership style were a perfect fit to lead an award-winning team of 35 colleagues across departments to improve patient satisfaction scores over two years in Hazleton. Lisa is responsible for two key community groups, the Board of Associates and the Vital Choice program, that combined have over 500 members. Her leadership and coordination of these two groups are direct connections to services and innovative education for residents of our area. Ms. Halecky's comprehensive knowledge of both the community and healthcare services were key to our community’s success as we navigated the challenges of COVID. She worked on the vaccine crew, coordinated effective patient need programs for patients being discharged and developed a healthy hand washing program. Her spirit and dedication also helped coordinate the community's effort to thank all the caregivers who were heroes. These are just a few highlights of her time at the hospital after spending 15 years with Heritage Hill as the marketing and admission coordinator.
