In an effort to recognize the community service activities of volunteers in the upcoming Great Pennsylvania Cleanup, our local boroughts, municipalities, township and city will continue to support the cleanup efforts throughout Greater Hazleton which will take place on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, April 25th, 26th 27th .
According to Leann Fallabel, Vice President of Marketing for the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce and cleanup coordinator, "without their support, the cleanup efforts would not be able to be done on such a large scale. Our group is one of the largest cleanup efforts in the state of Pennsylvania and everyone involved is to be recognized".

Judi Stroud, and her partner, Brian Berlanda took over a Hazleton area classic restaurant almost 7 years ago.
The puchase of Rostas Cafe was a brand new career and journey for her, since she had previously worked for company in the area of finance.
She loves the flexibility of setting her schedule, the creativity of adding new items to the menu, and having great customers!
Rostas has updated the patio and includes fantastic barbecue menu items from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Their new partnership with DoorDash has added to increase in customers.
The restaurant is open Sunday, Monday, Wednesday & Thursday from 11 am to 10 pm and Friday & Saturday from 11 am to 11 pm. Stop in for a delicious meal!
The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Committee is holding their second woman’s networking luncheon program for 2025 on Thursday, March 27th from 12 noon to 1 pm at the Valley Country Club, 79 Country Club Road in Sugarloaf. The event is being sponsored by Meadow and it is open for any woman to attend.
The program will begin promptly at 12 noon and will include a buffet lunch. Our guest speaker will be The Honorable Judge Tarah C. Toohil, Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas and she will present Judge Toohil: 3 years on the County Court.
Everyone will enjoy lunch, a 50/50 raffle and doorprize drawings. Attendees are encouraged to bring your business cards, brochures, coupons or giveaways to share on our "Business Resource Table".Additional luncheon programs for the remainder of the year have been set for Tuesdays, May 20th; July 29th, September 30th; and November 18th.

Greater Hazleton Area residents looking for employment opportunities are invited to take part in the 29th Annual Greater Hazleton Job Fair taking place this Thursday, March 20th at the Laurel Mall on Route 93 in Hazleton.
34 participating firms will be on hand to locate full, part-time, internships, temporary or summer workers and to promote various educational and career opportunities.
The event will take place from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
