Chamber Mixer Taking Place at Sophy Jewelers Inside the Laurel Mall

Sophy Jewelers is sponsoring an exclusive Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Networking Mixer on Thursday, February 2nd from 5 pm to 7 pm. The mixer will take place at Hazleton location inside the Laurel Mall, Hazleton.

Chamber members, their employees, co-workers and guests are invited to this free, casual, after-hours event, which provides a networking opportunity for the Greater Hazleton Area business community.

Everyone who attends will have the opportunity to browse the largest selection of diamonds in the area and learn why Sophy Jewelers is the only preferred jeweler in the area that offers a lifetime warranty. Start Your Own Business Seminar Series Begins Tuesday

A 5-Part Entrepreneur Seminar Series on Steps to Starting Your Own Business begins this Tuesday, January 24th and will run every Tuesday, with the last seminar taking place on February 21st.

Each seminar will offer different topics on starting your own business and all of the programs are provided at no cost. Topics and dates are as follows: Tuesday, January 24th: Is Entrepreneurship for You?; Tuesday, January 31st: What’s the Plan? Developing a Business Plan; Tuesday, February 7th: Making it Legal. Structure, Licensing & Registration; Tuesday, February 14th: Show Me the Money! Financing Your Business and Tuesday, February 21st: Paying Uncle Sam. Filing & Paying Taxes.

Chamber Woman’s Networking Committee to Host a Series of Luncheon Programs for 2017

The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Committee is holding their first woman’s networking luncheon program for 2017 on Tuesday, January 31st from 12 noon to 1 pm at Bonanza Family Restaurant located on Route 93 in Hazle Township. The event is being sponsored by Hawk Mtn Labs and it is open for any woman to attend.

“The woman’s networking committee is very excited to continue to offer our luncheon programs for 2017. We will continue to keep our topics up to date and related to women and business.” explains Nina Bonus, volunteer Chair of the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Luncheon Committee.
