The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Committee is holding their first woman’s networking luncheon program for 2023 Tuesday, January 31^st from 12 noon to 1 pm at Top of the 80’s Restaurant in Hazleton. The event is being sponsored by NEPIRC and it is open for any woman to attend.

“The woman’s networking committee is very excited to continue to offer our luncheon programs for 2023. We will continue to keep our topics up to date and related to women and business.” explains Leann Fallabel, Vice President of Marketing of the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce.

The program will begin promptly at 12 noon and will include lunch. Our guest speaker will be Leo Gilroy, Director, Strategy and Innovation from NEPIRC and he will present on Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, and Self-awareness. Leading with emotional intelligence requires the ability to understand employees’ viewpoints, including how their experiences might have informed their perspectives, and demonstrates a willingness to see the world as others see it — without standing in judgment. Leader effectiveness is determined by how well they understand themselves, their awareness of how others view them and how they navigate the resulting interactions. Building those skills requires a willingness to learn and recognize your own emotional triggers and weaknesses. Therefore, intentionally increasing self-awareness helps improve emotional intelligence and leadership effectiveness.

Dooprize drawings including, a free lunch for the next program and the opportunity to give an introduction of your business at the event will be drawn. Women are encouraged to bring along promotional items, such as business cards, brochures, giveaways, etc. to display on our business resource table.

Additional luncheon programs for the remainder of the year have been set for Tuesdays, February 28^th; March 28^th; May 23^rd; July 25^th, September 26^th; and November 28^th.

The cost to attend the luncheon program is $25.00 for Chamber members and $30.00 for non-Chamber members. Proceeds will benefit the Women’s Empowerment Grant Fund. Reservations are required by registering online, contacting the Chamber office at 455-1509, or emailing .
