Community Development
Committees Since its inception, the Chamber has been involved in virtually every significant community development activity in Greater Hazleton. Issues are addressed by three committees:

Transportation (Member of Transportation Advisory Board. Involved in long-range planning for the area’s transportation needs. Provides testimony at state transportation hearings.)
Government Affairs (Monitors local, state and federal legislative issues of concern to the business community. Maintains close working relationship with the lobbying arms of both the State and U.S. Chamber of Commerce)
Program of Work Every two years, members are asked to state their community priorities. This input is developed into the Chamber’s Program of Work.
