|Chamber Hosting Required Roadway Flagger Certification Training|
The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is offering Roadway Flagger Certification Training on Wednesday, May 23rd.
Did you know that PennDot regulations for vehicle control and safety procedures have changed. All personnel controlling traffic on Pennsylvania highways must be certified under PennDOT Publication 213 – Temporary Traffic Control Guidelines.
Who must be certified? Anyone who has flagging responsibilities, including municipal road crews, fire police, utility company personnel, landscapers, mowers – anyone controlling vehicle traffic and lane restrictions.
What are certification requirements? A three-hour instruction course given by a certified trainer, physical setup demonstrations, and a satisfactory grade on a written exam will provide a training wallet-size card as proof he or she is trained to direct traffic. The training is valid for three years.
