The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is offering an OSHA Training in Excavating and Trenching. The training is being instructed by Joseph A. Thomas, Authorized OSHA Instructor of J. Thomas Safety First, LLC. This training is for anyone who works in excavation, trenching or related fields. Learn important safety guidelines enforced by OSHA, in order to maintain a safer work environment. This training will provide you the opportunity to take back to your workplace the ability to setup standards as well as enhance your safety culture, therefore providing a safe working environment. The training will take place on Wednesday January 25th from 9 am to 3:30 pm. The cost is $79.00 per person and $39 for each additional person registered from same company. The cost includes lunch and materials and it will take place at the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce office located at 20 West Broad Street in Downtown Hazleton. This training is a series of OSHA trainings the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce will be providing for 2012. Other topics include: Wed, February 29th - Scaffold Training; Wed, March 28th - Fall Protection Training; Wed, April 25th - Responsibilities for Supervisors; Wed, June 27th - Accident Investigation & Recordkeeping; Wed, August 29th - Focus Four Hazards; Wed, Sept 26th - Requirements for OSHA Inspections; Wed, October 31st - PPE, Hazard Communication, MSDS, Bloodborn Pathogens and Top Citation Standards; Wed, Nov 28th - Confined Space & Hot Work Permit; Wed, Dec 12th - Lockout/Tagout; Thurs & Fri, March 22nd & 23rd - 10 Hr Construction Safety & Health Training and Thurs & Fri, May 3rd & 4th - 10 Hr General Industry Training.
