Operating a successful small business can be tricky, especially in today’s difficult economy.  In order to be competitive, small businesses need to ensure they have enough capital to operate.  “Financing Your Business”, a 2-hour seminar presented by MetroAction in partnership with the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce, will provide information about the various types of financing available for small businesses.  The seminar will be presented on Tuesday, October 18 at the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce, Hazleton, from, 9 am to 11 am and only a few seats remain.  To register, please visit www.hazletonchamber.org or call the Chamber office at 455-1509.  The cost is $10 per person.

Alicia Tompkins, Business Development Specialist with MetroAction, will review the types of financing available, what lenders look for, finding grants for your business and community resources you need to know about.

This seminar is ideal for all start-up and existing small businesses, including retail, wholesale, hospitality, agricultural, child care providers, technology business and manufacturing. Child care providers may also be eligible for professional development credits through the Pennsylvania Quality Assurance System (PQAS), part of the PA Department of Public Welfare’s PA Keys to Professional Development program.
