| Downtown Hazleton Farmers Market to Begin July 9th |

Plan now to buy fresh fruits, vegetables and more at the inaugural Downtown Hazleton Farmer’s Market.  The Market will take place on July 9th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Citiscape Parking lot which is located right next to the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce building, 20 W. Broad Street between Laurel and Wyoming Streets. Access to the market is available from Broad Street and Mine Street. The market will continue to run each Saturday throughout the growing season. Vendors confirmed at this date are: Absolute Pastured Poultry, Burger’s Farm, Center for Landscape Design & Stewardship, Creekside Farm & Nursery, Drum’s Produce, Hungarian Pastries & More, O’Hara Orchards, Penn State Master Gardeners, and Rohrbach Farms. In addition to the Market, Penn State Master Gardeners will provide a free workshop, Container Gardening, in the Chamber of Commerce Board Room (located right next to the Market) from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. For additional information on the Downtown Hazleton Farmer’s Market, call the Chamber office at 570-455-1509. |
