The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Human Resources Committee has coordinated a special Brown Bag Lunch Session entitled An Overview of the Rapid Response Coordination Program. This program is offered by the PA Department of Labor and Industry. Terri Zimmerman, Rapid Response Director and Rich Parry, NEPA Rapid Response Coordinator will be on hand to present this information to all who attend. In this economy your business should be prepared for all types of situations. Even if your company is not preparing for a restructuring, downsizing or layoff, this is an excellent opportunity to become educated as to what kind of assistance is available, free of charge, in the event this would ever happen. This service is available to ALL employers, labor organizations and the workforce to help your business and help workers find new jobs or receive training for new careers. Gain knowledge through this interactive informal discussion. Limited seating is available and it will take place on Thursday, February 19th at the Chamber office, located at 20 West Broad Street in Downtown Hazleton from 11:30 am to 1:00pm. Registration for Chamber members is $10.00 and the non-Chamber member is $20.00. The mission of the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is to contribute to its members' business success by providing them valuable information, services and networking opportunities, and by taking active measures to help them improve the business climate and quality of life in Greater Hazleton.
