The Chamber, through the Sister Cities Association of Hazleton, hosted Italian visitors from the San Serverino Restoration Project in Italy at the Chamber offices last month. The group had undertaken a project of restoration of an abandoned village of San Serverino, situated atop a mountain in the area. The area would, in part, be fashioned as the homes of Eckley Miners’ Village of which they visited during their visit. The Chamber visited this historic region during their visit to Italy in 2006 through the Sister Cities Association.
