Only a few openings remain for the 43rd Annual Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing  which will take place on Thursday, August 19th. The shotgun start tournament is scheduled to take place the Valley Country Club in Sugarloaf at 11 am and will feature trophies, prizes and awards.The tournament will begin with a continental breakfast beginning at 8:30 a.m. and a $5000 putting contest beginning at 9:00 a.m. An on-course trade show with food and beverages throughout the day will be available. A cocktail hour and a full course dinner will take place following the round of play. Championship, first and second flight awards will be given.. Two closest to the pin, two closet to the pin second shot on the green and womans and mens longest drive will also be presented. Berger Family Dealerships once again be sponsoring the Hole in One Contest. The first person to make a hole in one on Hole Number 9 will win a 2010 Buick LaCross. Corporate sponsors for the tournament include: Cocktail Hour, Harry’s U Pull It, Hospitality Tent, Intrepid Detective Agency, Cart, KNBT, a division of National Penn Bank, Beverage Cart, American Abstractors, Putting Contest, Network Solutions., Bag Service, UGI Utilities, Inc., Continental Breakfast, Arthur D. As during past years, hole sponsors will also conduct a mini on-course trade show.
