Chamber Golf Outing THIS Thursday - August 19th
132 local and regional golfers will tee off at 11:00 AM on Thursday for the 43rd Annual Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing.  The shotgun start tournament is scheduled to take place at 11 am at the Valley Country Club in Sugarloaf and will feature trophies, prizes and awards valued at more than ten thousand dollars.

The tournament will begin with registration and a continental breakfast beginning at 8:30 a.m. and the $5000 putting contest beginning at 9:00 a.m.  A cocktail hour and hors d’ oeuvres as well as a full course dinner will take place following the round of play.

9th Annual Downtown Hazleton Car Cruise a Success
Over 300 cars lined up from Church Street to Cedar Street for the 9th Annual Downtown Hazleton Car linup_pine_st.jpgCruise held on Friday, August 6th.  Over 2,000 people enjoyed the display of cars during the Chamber’s 9th Annual Downtown Hazleton Car Cruise. The event was sponsored by Tunnessen Auto Parts. Thank you to all of the Chamber member businesses and volunteers who contributed to the success of this event.crowd6.jpg
 
Business Exposition Slated for August 28th at the Laurel Mall
Working in cooperation with the Laurel Mall, the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce has announced Chamber Business Exposition at the Laurel Mall August 28thplans to conduct a Business Exposition to be held at the Mall on Saturday, August 28th.  According to Chamber Vice President of Marketing, "The Business Exposition is a major opportunity for the local business community to showcase its products and services to a wide, and appreciative audience”.

The Buiness Expo, open to all Hazleton Area businesses, will have a one-day format.  The Show will begin at 10:00 a.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m.  Cost for a booth is $150 for Chamber members and $375 for non-Chamber members.

Chamber to Hold “A Passion for Loyalty” ® Seminar
Bill Drury is a man with a passion.  He is on a mission to help businesses create lifetime loyal customers. On Wednesday, September 8th he will present an action-packed 1/2 day seminar from 8:30 am to 12 noon in the 2nd Floor Conference Room at Mea’s Restaurant located at 8 W. Broad Street in Downtown Hazleton. This seminar has proven strategies and techniques to help everyone in the company win customers and reduce lost sales.

Networking Mixer at Beech Mountain Lakes August 24th
The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce will hold a Networking Mixer on Tuesday, August 24th from beech_mt._mixer.jpg5:30 pm to 7 pm. The event is being hosted and sponsored by Beech Mountain Lakes in Drums and will be held at their restaurant and lounge, including their outdoor patio/bar area which overlooks the lake.
