The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce is offering an OSHA Scaffold Training course.. The training is being instructed by Joseph A. Thomas, Authorized OSHA Instructor of J. Thomas Safety First, LLC.
This training is for anyone who works with scaffold or related fields. Learn important safety guidelines enforced by OSHA, in order to maintain a safer work environment. This training will provide you the opportunity to take back to your workplace the ability to setup standards as well as enhance your safety culture, therefore providing a safe working environment.
The training will take place on Wednesday February 22nd from 9 am to 1 pm. The cost is $79.00 per person and $39 for each additional person registered from same company. The cost includes lunch and materials and it will take place at the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce office located at 20 West Broad Street in Downtown Hazleton.

Congressman Louis Barletta will address the business community on Thursday, February 23rd at the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Red Carpet Breakfast program. The program, sponsored by Geisinger, will take place at Capriotti’s Palazzo, 1 Banks Avenue, McAdoo beginning at 7:45 AM and concluding at 9:00 a.m. This is the second program of the Chamber’s legislative series of breakfasts. Last month, Mayor Joe Yannuzzi began the series with the State of the City address. Additional speakers confirmed to date include Rep. Tarah Toohil on March 21st, Senator John Yudichak on April 25th, and Luzerne County Council on May 31st.
A full Breakfast will be served at the upcoming breakfast program, and chamber members and guests who would like to attend should contact the Chamber office at 455-1509 as soon as possible since a large turnout is expected. Cost of the program is $15 for chamber-members and $20 for non-chamber members.
The Red Carpet programs are conducted monthly by the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce as a way of providing information to the local business community and offering new and expanded business networking opportunities.

The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Networking Committee is holding their first woman’s networking luncheon program for 2012 on Tuesday, January 31st from 12 noon to 1 pm at Best Western Genetti Inn & Suites on Route 309 in Hazleton. The event is being sponsored by McCann School of Business & Technology and is open to all business women in Greater Hazleton.
“The woman’s networking committee is very excited to continue to offer our luncheon programs for 2012. The luncheons have been very well received with attendance averaging approximately 70 business women per program.” explains Leann Fallabel, Vice President of Marketing and Women’s Networking Committee Coordinator for the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce.

Hazleton Mayor Joe Yannuzzi will address chamber members and guests at the January 25th Legislative Update Breakfast conducted by the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by KNBT, a division of National Penn Bank.
The Red Carpet Breakfast will take place at Mea’s Restaurant, downtown Hazleton, beginning at 7:45 a.m. and adjourning at 9:00 a.m. A full breakfast will be served at the upcoming breakfast program at a cost of $15.00 per person for chamber members and $20 for guests. Reservations are required by contacting the Chamber office at 455-1509 by Friday, January 20th to make a reservation. Members can also sign up through our website at www.hazletonchamber.org.
