Downtown Giveaway Winners Announced

The Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of its Holiday Giveaway today, and each of the twenty-nine lucky individuals will be able to enjoy a Downtown Holiday shopping spree.

The Giveaway was sponsored by the Chamber�fs Downtown Promotions Committee, and involved twenty-five Center City Businesses.  Chamber president, Donna Palermo, Bill Spear, Chairman of the Chamber�fs Downtown Committee, and Denise Corcoran, a member of the downtown promotions committee, oversaw today�fs drawing.  Each of the twenty-nine winners receives a $25 in certificate/or item good at participating businesses.

The contest began several weeks ago, and contestants were encouraged to fill out entry blanks at participating businesses.  Hundreds of shoppers entered the contest. 

The Chamber's Downtown Committee works actively to promote the Center City Area, and has also established a working relationship with Mayor Lou Barletta to conduct activities and to plan for the future.
