Over 100 Hazleton Area youngsters took advantage of free Polaroid photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, Saturday, December 2nd, in Downtown Hazleton. The event took place in the Citiscape Lobby of The Markle Building. The Downtown Committee of the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce planned the event which began with special performances by “Sherri O’Donnell’s All That Dancin’” dance group. After the All That Dancin’ performance, Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived via a fire truck from the Diamond Fire Company accompanied by the Hazleton Community Ambulance Assn. In addition to free photographs with Santa and Mrs. Claus, the children received free cookies, compliments of General Mills, and free soft drinks, compliments of Farmer’s Dairy. The Chamber’s Downtown holiday events will continue with a businessperson’s mixer on Wednesday, December 6th in the Citiscape lobby in Downtown Hazleton. The event will be catered by the Cyber Calf. Cost to attend the mixer is $10.00. Reservations must be made by Monday, December 4th by calling the Chamber office.
