Hazle Drugs, Inc. Receives Downtown Pride Award from Chamber

Hazle Drugs, Inc., located at 1 E. Broad Street, Downtown Hazleton, recently received the “Downtown Pride” award from the Downtown Committee of the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce for the month of August.

The award, initiated to help address the issue of cleanliness in the Downtown area, was the seventh such award presented by the committee.   The award was initiated to recognize the efforts of individual businesses that set an example of pride in conducting a business in the Downtown area.

Donna Palermo, chamber president states, “We are recognizing Hazle Drugs for paying special attention to the cleanliness surrounding their business and for setting a great example for other businesses in addressing the cleanliness of the Downtown area.  Normally it is Bill Spear who is presenting these special awards to other businesses as chairman of the chamber’s Downtown committee, but the committee felt that today we should recognize the Spear family for all that they do for the Downtown area including the cleanliness surrounding their business and the attractive appearance of their facility. ”
