Chamber Annual Dinner and Trade Exposition
Members and their guests network in a social setting. In the same
room, the Trade Exposition allows members to showcase their products
and services to an audience of business decision makers.
Golf Tournament
Annual event to give members networking opportunities in a relaxed
setting.
Funfest
One of the largest free family festivals in the state, attracting
thousands of visitors to the area and providing exposure opportunities
for businesses.
Fall Trade Show
Consumer-oriented show held at the Laurel Mall for members only.
Job Fair
Organized annually with the Hazleton Job Center; helps find jobs
for people...and people for jobs.
Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful
Over 2,000 volunteers clean up the Hazleton area in one day.
Red Carpet Breakfasts/Tours
This monthly program features speakers or highlights a member firm.
Includes meetings with various local, state and federal lawmakers
through the Legislative Series.
Seminars
Held throughout the year on various topics of assistance to small
businesses.
Academic Awards
The only local event to recognize academic achievement for local
high school students.
Community Reading Day
Members join with other Chambers to promote literacy by reading
in local schools.

Committees
Since its inception, the Chamber has been involved in virtually
every significant community development activity in the Greater
Hazleton Area. Issues are addressed by three Committees:
o Community Development (Nescopeck State Park,
Partners in Education, etc.)
o Transportation (Southwest Beltway)
o Government Affairs (annual trips to Harrisburg to meet with lawmakers
and state departments)
Program of Work
Every two years, members are asked to state their community priorities.
This input is developed into the Chambers Program of Work.
Special Projects/Committees
The Chamber embarks on special projects or creates committees based
on the needs and concerns of its members. Projects have included
the Shop Local campaign, the community image project,
land reclamation, and the Downtown Committee, which has been working
to shine some light on center city businesses and make improvements
to that area.
Affiliated Organizations
Over the years, the Chamber has created organizations to address
specific community needs, and continues to work along with those
entities. They include CAN DO, The Alliance to Revitalize Center
City Hazleton (ARCH), the FUNFEST Committee, Mountain Council of
Governments (COG), Leadership Hazleton, Junior Leadership, Partners
in Education, the Greater Hazleton Area Civic Partnership, and Eckley
Miners Village Associates.
Business Affiliations
Members become indirectly involved in the Chambers growing
network of business organizations, including the US and PA Chambers
of Commerce, PA Retailers Association, Pennsylvanians for Effective
Government, PA Economy League, Economic Development Council of NEPA,
PA Council of Governments, International and Mid-Atlantic Festivals
and Events Associations.
